Apex Staff and Volunteers
We care about our staff, volunteers and partners – as well as our service users. We have been highlighted by Investors in People as a ‘happy place’ to work in and we’ve signed up to be a ‘mindful employer’ – to keep developing initiatives to support our staff and volunteers.
We are constantly developing new opportunities for them to take part in and are committed to both the Skills Pledge and the Informal Adult Learning Pledge.
We are very proud of our place in the multi-cultural city of Leicester and we work very hard to ensure that Apex is a welcoming place for everyone. We have clear guidelines on acceptable behaviour and we make sure that anything unacceptable is challenged.
We survey our staff and volunteers on a yearly basis to ensure that we represent the community we provide services for. Apex is constantly reviewing how we can make ourselves more accessible to those with disabilities as an employer and voluntary organisation.
Our staff are a passionate, friendly and enthusiastic team, who help Apex make a difference to people’s lives – something we’ve been doing for over 30 years.
Apex Staff are fully committed to the communities in which we work and have a range of other interests that add huge value to our work at Apex. Our staff contributed 889 hour of voluntary time to other charities last year
Apex are always looking for committed volunteers who want experience in a real work environment. We have a number of roles available in different areas to suit your needs.
We successfully gained our Investor’s in Volunteers accreditation last year, which ensures volunteers receive the same opportunities as staff wherever possible.
