What we do

Our services

Apex works for individual service users by offering:

  • support to learn new skills, find suitable training and search for a job
  • training courses at Apex House and in local communities
  • help with finding and applying for jobs and going for interviews
  • information and advice on work, training, benefits, and more
  • advice on starting a business

Apex works for employers by offering:

  • workplace related courses such as health and safety, and food safety, which can be tailor-made to particular business needs.
  • free recruitment services, matching up appropriate applicants with vacancies and managing every step of the recruitment process
  • city centre space for hire – you can hire our training rooms, interview rooms or other space in our city centre head quarters


Who we work with

We work with people who face barriers in life, or who may be from marginalized or vulnerable groups. In 2012-13, we supported 700 service users.

We work with:

  • anyone who wants information, help and support to gain learning, skills or work
  • people who face difficulties or barriers in getting work or training.l
  • We offer specialist support to people who are: long term unemployed; a lone parent; from an ethnic minority community; an ex offender; aged 16-19 and not in education, employment or training; homeless; facing physical or mental
    health needs.

We work with a range of regional and national partners to deliver a comprehensive range of services including:

  • Leicester College
  • Leicester City Council
  • Leicester County Council
  • Job Centre Plus
  • HMP Leicester
  • Probation Service
