How We Help

Our services

We help service users change their lives through:apex Support

  • support to learn new skills, find the right training and get a job
  • courses we deliver at Apex House and in local communities
  • help finding and applying for jobs and going for interviews
  • information and advice on work, training, benefits, and more
  • advice on starting a business

We also support employers by offering:

  • workplace related courses such as health and safety and food safety, which can be tailor-made to particular business needs.
  • free recruitment services through our Changing Lives Club; matching up appropriate applicants with vacancies and managing every step of the recruitment process
  • city centre space for hire – you can hire our training rooms, interview rooms or other space in our city centre head quarters

Who we work with:
We work with people who face barriers in life, or who may be from marginalized or vulnerable groups. In 2013-14, we supported 1,254 service users.

We offer specialist support to people who face particular barriers including those who are:

  • long term unemployed;
  • ex offenders;
  • aged 16-19 and not in education, employment or training;
  • homeless;
  • facing physical or mental health needs.
