Employment Support Services

This service provides support to new labour market entrants during the first 13 weeks of employment to help with the transition from benefits to employment, and to provide support into long term sustainable employment.

We provide one-to-one support to help employees gain the confidence and skills to deal with challenges that may arise in the first weeks of employment.

  • Childcare/dependant care
  • Transport
  • Training opportunities
  • Job progression
  • Work performance

Benefits include:

  • One-to-one advice
  • Ongoing support
  • Mentoring & coaching
  • Access to further training and education

The service targets:

  • Lone parents
  • Long term (6 months +) JSA claimants
  • Incapacity Benefit Claimants
  • Members of BME communities – particularly Somali, Bangladeshi and Pakistani populations
  • New arrival groups including refugees
  • Ex-Offenders
  • Young people aged 16-19 within the NEET group
