offender services

Apex has a long tradition of providing free Information Advice and Guidance to offenders/ex-offenders, on training options, employment and more recently business start-up.

The service is delivered to accredited standards under MATRIX quality framework. Information Advice and Guidance workers are qualified or working towards National Vocational Qualification level 4.

The service we provide is delivered both in the community and within the prison environment, with the aims of reducing re-offending through skills development and by ultimately progressing offenders/ex-offenders into training, employment and business start-up.

We believe employing offenders in most cases is a smart thing to do, due to the high level of training, qualifications and guidance that they now have access to.

Our Services include:

  • Access to fully trained advisors
  • Information Advice and Guidance on (education, career and employment options)
  • Production of individual progression plans
  • Disclosure letters - (For presenting to employers -we help you to disclose your convictions on the application form and at interviews, verbally and or in writing)
  • Support with completing application forms
  • Interview preparation - (Improve your interview techniques we will help you to promote yourself at interviews by building on your strengths)
  • Job-Search - (Discover how to apply and match your skills and qualities to the vacancy)
